Question: Do I have to be registered as a Democrat to vote in the Primary?
Yes! You can check your current registration here. Put in your name, birth date, and address and it will tell you your current status.
If it says "Record Not Found", check to make sure your information is correct. Otherwise, register to vote here.
If it says "DEM" next to "Party", you are registered as a Democrat. You can change your party here.
To vote for Chuck Park, you also need to live in NY Congressional District #6. You can check that on the same page
Scroll down to where it says "Congressional District". If it says "06" you live in CD #6, and can vote for Chuck Park. If it has another number, you can search for your current representative here. Insert your zip code in the search box and click "Find your rep by zip". On the left hand side of the page that appears, your CD number you found will match your representative.
CQuID developed a questionnaire that that was sent to the candidates. The candidates answered the questionnaire and the responses were circulated to CQuID members.
At the next monthly meeting, we discussed the responses from each of the candidates, weighed pros and cons, and made sure that the approval voting process was clear.
We held our vote using the website balotilo.org. Members voted for the candidate(s) they wanted our club to endorse. Any candidate with over 50% of the votes would receive our endorsement.
The Executive Board met to certify the rankings of the candidates and discussed the timeline for the endorsements.
